Smithsonian Women's Committee Members, Smithsonian Craft Show Artists and Dinner Guests Joined Five of DC's Top Interior Designers at Their Homes for the Second Annual Dinners by Design

David MitchellAndrew Law, Camille SaumSkip Sroka, and Rosemarie Howe generously and creatively supported the recent Smithsonian Craft Show by hosting five exciting Dinners by Design. David Mitchell founded this annual event in 2012 and is working towards declaring April Design Month in DC.

Guests had the unique opportunity to tour the designers' homes, who offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at their residences while also sharing insight into the process of designing homes for some of the DC area's celebrities.

During an extraordinary evening of cocktails, dinner and intriguing conversations, between eight to 16 guests joined Smithsonian Craft Show artists Deborah Falls, Eric Serritella, Biba Schutz, Nebiur Arellano, and Angela Cunningham as well as members of the Smithsonian Women's Committee, including Chair Nancy Low. All proceeds from the dinners went directly to support education, outreach, conservation and research throughout the Smithsonian. This year's dinners raised more than $20,000.

"All the guests raved about the food and settings at each home, including Andrew Law's alfresco dining experience, Camille Saum's specialty cocktail and homemade meal, Rosemarie Howe's signature Spicy Ginger Trifle dessert, and Skip Sroka's intimate setting," David Mitchell said. Caterers included Fete Accomplie Catering at David Mitchell's and Yayo Grassi at Rosemarie Howe's.
