BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA) --Brittany Norwood has been sentenced to life imprisonment without parole in the Lululemon murder trial.
She was found guilty of murder in the first degree in the March 11, 2011, killing of Jayna Murray, 30, a coworker in the Bethesda Lululemon yoga store.

Prosecutors in the case say that Norwood beat Murray unmercifully until she died. Then Norwood tried to pretend she had also been attacked, by tying herself up and and lying on the floor until help arrived the next morning. Norwood initially told police she had been sexually assaulted.
Murray was found in a pool of blood, with at least 330 stab wounds.
Norwood was heralded as a victim by police in the beginning of the investigation, but then she became a suspect as the holes in her story became apparent to authorities.
Screaming and violent banging during the killing of Jayna Murray may have been overheard by those in the adjacent store. Witnesses did not come to Murray's aid, and at Friday's sentencing, the judge remarked on their callous behavior. Jayna Murray's family spoke with 9News Now's Andrea McCarren after the sentencing.
