BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- The American healthcare worker who was admitted to the NIH Clinical Center in March with Ebola has discharged in good condition, the hospital announced Thursday.

The patient was admitted to the clinical center on March 13 in critical condition after contracting Ebola while volunteering in Sierra Leone.

NIH says the patient is no longer contagious to the community.

The patient was the second person treated for Ebola at the NIH. Both patients were eventually cleared of the virus.
