50 firefighters respond to Bethesda basement fire

BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Fifty firefighters responded to a Bethesda basement fire inside of a vacant home Sunday morning, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said.

The fire was in a basement in a vacant two-story house located at 9519 Singleton Drive, authorities said.

Nobody was injured in the fire, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said.

A total of 50 firefighters responded to the fire. There is significant damage to the home.

The cause of the fire appears to be accidental.

There were no explosives found at this home, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.
