 Cultural Concerts to be Presented at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre

The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive, will present the work of four entertaining and diverse performance groups during November.

 

The Rockville Musical Theatre will present "Kiss Me Kate," the Cole Porter classic take on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, Fridays, Oct. 28, Nov. 4 and 11, at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Oct. 29, Nov. 5 and 12, at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Nov. 6 and 13, at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $16 to $20.

A trip down memory lane is in order during "Remember When- Bringing Classic TV Back,"Saturday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m., performed by the Heart of Maryland Chorus with special guests the Harmony Express Men's Chorus of Germantown. Tickets cost $15.

Local Singing Chef Featured At Friends of the Library’s Annual Fundraiser

On Saturday, October 29th, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Rockville native Chef Johnny Mo will emcee the fourth annual Read, Eat & Give fundraiser, which is designed to encourage the exploration of various types of food and drink through reading.

This fundraiser will be held at the Rockville Memorial Library and will include a musical presentation and cooking demonstration by the award-winning chef. It will feature dishes from his restaurant on Virginia's Eastern Shore: “Mallard’s.” 

Friends of the Library, Montgomery County (FOLMC), is a 29-year-old non-profit membership organization that operates with 16 chapters dedicated to enhancing and promoting life-long learning and public libraries through fundraising and advocacy efforts.
