Local "Silent" Beverage Company Makes National Noise

North America’s Largest Specialty Food & Beverage Event came to D.C. July 10th, 11th, and 12th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.  The Fancy Food Show had 2,400 exhibitors, 180,000 products, but only one Silence Tea.

Silence Tea, originated in Gaithersburg as an all-natural tea beverage with a unique line of relaxation and calming ingredients including Chamomile and Theanine. These elements were infused with essential vitamins and antioxidants for children and adults to experience a balanced, calm, and relaxed existence.

“We have four flavors: Pomegranate Peace, Peach Chamomile White Tea, Black Tea with Lemon, and Honey Green Tea with Ginseng but plan on more. They are all 100 % natural, caffeine free, low in calories, low in sugar, gluten free and based on the Hindu concept of the body’s chakras,” said Silence Tea’s Camelia Darroodi.

Silence tea is the perfect marriage between all natural ingredients and Chakra philosophy, yoga practice, and holistic healing.

“My childhood was built on Yoga teachings as I would go to Yoga retreats with my mom as a kid.  My husband and I wanted to create something that was relaxing and that would use the teachings of Yoga to bring peace throughout our communities,” Darroodi said.

This Summer you can find the first fully noncaffeinated line of teas in five major regions of Whole Food Stores throughout the country.
